Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Financial Counselor to support our Revenue Cycle Management team. You will help patients understand financial responsibility, collect payments, and resolve balances while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

This role collaborates with Intake and Finance to ensure accurate documentation, smooth admissions, and timely payment solutions, supporting patient experience and program finances.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in patient account resolution (behavioral healthcare preferred).
• Strong understanding of insurance terms and patient financial responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient responsibility payments including deductibles, copays, and coinsurance.
• Contact patients to resolve outstanding balances and set up payment plans.
• Review AR for accuracy and document actions to reconcile balances.
