Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Financial Counselor to support our Revenue Cycle Management team. You will help patients and families understand financial responsibility, collect payments, and resolve outstanding balances while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

This is a full-time, remote role working EST hours, reporting to the Patient Relations Manager. You will collaborate with Intake and Finance to ensure accurate financial documentation and timely

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in patient account resolution, behavioral health preferred.
• Strong understanding of insurance benefit terms and patient financial responsibility.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHR systems (CollaborateMD, Salesforce, Kipu).

Responsabilités

• Assist patients with setting up payment plans and collecting payments.
• Review AR for accuracy and resolve balances with patients and families.
• Document actions taken to reconcile balances and support payment resolution.
• Coordinate with Intake and Finance to ensure accurate financial documentation and payments.
