Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of related experience.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and medical insurance terminology.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients about payment options and financial assistance.
• Communicate with patients and insurance companies by phone or fax.
• Coordinate patient care with clinics.
• Verify and document payment information timely and accurately.
• Review and process patient and insurance forms for billing.
• Follow policy and procedures for financial screening and third-party demands.
• Keep patient accounts updated and balances current.
• Negotiate and arrange patient payment plans.
• Support scheduling, billing, and collections processes.
