Job summary

Elevance Health in the United States is seeking a Patient Enrollment Specialist I to support new and existing patients through enrollment in the appropriate programs. This role is primarily remote with occasional in-person training sessions and optional office work within commuting distance.

The position requires a high school diploma and at least one year of experience in a call center, sales, healthcare, or customer-facing environment; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent and 1 year of experience in a call center, sales, healthcare, or customer-focused environment.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively across multiple channels.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and prioritizing patient census.
• Reaching out to patients to explain services and enrolling them into the appropriate programs.
• Providing support by addressing inquiries and scheduling the initial and annual appointments.
• Enters documentation into the designated systems.
• Assists with calls, texts, faxes, and electronic queues while taking notes and speaking with customers.
• Demonstrates empathy, strong verbal and written communication, and problem-solving in a high-paced environment.
• Occasional in-office work or flexibility based on business needs.
