Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking a Patient Enrollment Specialist I to support new and existing patients in a flexible, mostly virtual work environment.

You will review patient census, call patients to explain services, enroll them in appropriate programs, and enter documentation into our systems. A HS diploma with 1 year in a call center, healthcare, or customer-facing role is required, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a HS diploma or equivalent and 1 year of experience in a call center, sales, health care or customer-facing environment.
• Preferred bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and prioritizing patient census.
• Calling patients to explain services and enroll in programs.
• Addressing inquiries and scheduling initial and annual appointments.
• Enter documentation into designated systems.
• Handle calls, texts, faxes, and electronic queues while taking notes.
• Maintain focus in a fast-paced environment with strong communication and empathy.
• Structured schedule with occasional overtime or flexibility, including on-site office days.
