Job summary

Acadia Pharmaceuticals seeks a Patient Educator to empower patients and caregivers navigating Parkinson’s Disease Psychosis. You will deliver disease state education, guide discussions on PDP treatment options, and help families access resources for coverage and long‑term treatment adherence.

The role involves collaboration with PAMs, sales teams, and advocacy groups, with substantial travel to support education programs and patient access initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, social work, psychology, or related healthcare field.
• 3–5 years of pharma experience, especially in patient education/navigation/advocacy.
• Knowledge of neurology, psychiatry, or movement disorders preferred; PDP experience strongly desired.
• Must travel up to 75% with overnight stays as needed.
• Excellent communication and active listening skills.
• Familiarity with compliance standards for patient-facing pharma roles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prescription disease state education to patients and caregivers.
• Provide information on product efficacy, safety, and access through ACADIA Connect.
• Distribute approved educational materials to raise awareness of PDP and NUPLAZID®.
• Collaborate with Patient Access Managers to address coverage and affordability questions.
• Partner with Neurology and Long-Term Care sales to increase program awareness and engagement.
