Job summary

Acadia Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Patient Educator to empower patients and caregivers managing Parkinson’s Disease Psychosis. You will deliver disease education, explain treatment options, and guide patients through ACADIA Connect and PAM support to improve access and adherence.

The role requires travel and close cooperation with neurology and long-term care teams to ensure accurate, compassionate, and compliant patient support across the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, social work, psychology, or a related healthcare field; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in pharma patient education, patient navigation, advocacy, or patient support services preferred.
• Knowledge of neurology, psychiatry, or movement disorders is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prescription disease state education to patients and caregivers via small group meetings.
• Provide information on product efficacy, safety, and access through ACADIA Connect to patients/caregivers.
• Distribute educational materials to raise awareness of PDP and treatments like NUPLAZID®.
• Build trusting relationships to support patients and caregivers throughout their journey.
• Coordinate with PAMs to address coverage, reimbursement, and affordability questions.
• Collaborate with Neurology Sales and Long-Term Care Sales teams to raise provider awareness.
