Job summary

Acadia Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Patient Educator to empower patients and caregivers navigating Parkinson’s Disease Psychosis. You will deliver disease state education, explain treatment options including NUPLAZID®, and guide patients through early engagement and transition to ACADIA Connect.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare field is required; advanced degree preferred.
• 3–5 years pharma experience with patient education, navigation, or patient support services preferred.
• Knowledge of neurology, psychiatry, or movement disorders is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prescription disease state education to patients and caregivers through small group meetings and advocacy group sessions.
• Provide information on product efficacy, safety, and access through ACADIA Connect to patients or caregivers who opt in.
• Distribute approved educational materials to raise awareness of PDP and NUPLAZID®.
• Collaborate with PAMs to address coverage, reimbursement, and affordability questions for patients.
• Facilitate referrals to ACADIA Connect for comprehensive access assistance.
• Partner with Neurology and Long-Term Care Sales Specialists to raise awareness of Patient Educator resources.
• Support education programs by providing feedback to the marketing team.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in nursing, social work, psychology, or a related healthcare field

Advanced degree preferred
