Job summary

ACADIA Pharmaceuticals Inc. is seeking a Patient Educator to empower patients with Parkinson’s Disease Psychosis (PDP) education and access support. You will guide patients and caregivers from diagnosis to ongoing treatment, coordinating with PAMs and ACADIA Connect for coverage and affordability.

The role emphasizes compassionate disease-state education, collaboration with neurology and long-term care teams, and driving patient engagement across advocacy groups and professional societies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, social work, psychology, or related healthcare field; advanced degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of pharma experience; patient education or navigation preferred.
• Knowledge of neurology, psychiatry, or movement disorders preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 75%; driving and overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prescription disease state education to patients and caregivers.
• Provide information on product efficacy, safety, and access through ACADIA Connect.
• Distribute educational materials to raise PDP awareness and discuss treatment with doctors.
• Collaborate with Patient Access Managers to address coverage and affordability questions.
• Refer patients to ACADIA Connect for access assistance.
• Partner with Neurology and Long‑Term Care Sales Specialists to raise awareness.
