Hey Jane is expanding its patient care team with a detail‑oriented, human‑centred, tech‑savvy Patient Care Advocate focused on medication abortion care. This remote role requires weekend hours, with Friday and Saturday shifts and ET timing.

You will answer patient questions, coordinate care, verify insurance, document in the EMR, and ensure compassionate, accurate support for patients navigating treatment. Ideal candidates have a healthcare background and experience in abortion care, strong

Qualifications

• Healthcare professional with 1+ years in abortion care or patient‑facing health services.
• Experience in both in‑clinic and remote settings.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to triage and make decisions in real time.
• Comfort using online tools to deliver care and communicate with patients.

Responsibilities

• Answer patient questions related to treatment, logistics, and next steps.
• Troubleshoot patient concerns around shipping, refunds, scheduling, and care coordination.
• Track patients through their care journey and ensure timely follow‑ups.
• Check, document, and report insurance eligibility information.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation while complying with HIPAA and privacy standards.
• Balance multiple priorities and maintain clear communication with patients and teammates.
