Qualifications

• High school diploma or Associate's degree in Accounting or Business Administration or related field, or at least one year of experience in revenue cycle functions.
• Experience in a hospital or clinic environment, health insurer, or healthcare financial service setting preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day customer service activities within the hospital revenue operations of an assigned Patient Business Services location.
• Serves as part of a Customer Service team responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through timely, accurate follow-up and resolution to inquiries and issues.
• Assists patients in resolving billing issues, including setting up payment plans and responding to complaints in a timely manner.
• Provides detailed documentation and reports of customer complaints, interactions, actions taken and results in appropriate systems.
• Tracks trends of customer service encounters and offers recommendations for resolutions to the supervisor.
