Job summary

Capital Medical Group, a UHS subsidiary, is seeking a Call Center Specialist to support patient access for Pain Medicine practices. This remote role handles appointment scheduling, registration, insurance, and other patient access tasks.

You will enter data in Epic, route requests, and maintain HIPAA-compliant patient information while delivering professional customer service in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Healthcare customer service, inbound call center, and/or scheduling experience preferred.
• Experience in a medical office, healthcare contact center, or patient-facing healthcare environment preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare scheduling, registration, insurance, and physician specialties preferred.
• Ability to follow scheduling guidelines, decision trees, and appointment protocols.
• Knowledge of computers, telephone systems, electronic health records, and other department-specific applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient access support for Capital Medical Group practices through the Contact Center.
• Schedule appointments and register patients per workflows and decision trees.
• Enter and update patient information in Epic and route requests to appropriate departments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and explain financial responsibility to patients.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
• Promote patient access tools and online services such as MyChart.
