Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of customer service and/or clerical experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; higher-level degree may satisfy this requirement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients, staff, and physicians by phone or in person.
• Assist in patient registration by scheduling outpatient appointments, entering patient information, and checking patients in and out.
• Coordinate communication between business units and transfer calls to appropriate personnel.
• Ensure accurate patient information verification for insurance, demographics, and scheduling workflows in Epic.
• Schedule patient appointments for a subset of clinics and reschedule cancellations when possible.
• Support coworkers and participate in departmental QA to reduce errors.
• Complete other administrative tasks as needed.
