The position supports scheduling, eligibility verification, and patient liability collection within a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, experience in patient access or front-office healthcare, and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Customer service experience in healthcare or financial services is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision; strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with common office software.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient demographics and inputs them into the EHR.
• Covers services including inpatient, observation, emergency, obstetrics, surgery, and imaging.
• Understands and verifies insurance benefits and guidelines.
• Provides a positive first impression through courteous service and clear communication.
• Submits timely payer notifications to reduce denials and ensure proper registration.
• Obtains required consent and CMS forms; maintains compliance documentation.
• Discusses financial liability and assists with payment plans or Banner Financial Assistance.
• Delivers patient and financial services tasks; may train new hires or handle deposits.
• Works independently in a high-volume clinical setting, prioritizing patient care and timely service.
