Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Customer service or patient financial services experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with common office software and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient demographics and input into EHR accurately.
• Register patients and collect insurance information at point of access.
• Explain insurance benefits and obtain authorizations as needed.
• Discuss financial liability, set up payment plans and assist with assistance programs.
• Work in a high-volume hospital setting and ensure timely registrations.
