Job summary

Vault Insurance is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (Remote/ field-based in New York) to drive strategic growth through partnerships and market expansion. You will lead high-value relationships with independent agents and brokers, expanding vault’s footprint in the high-net-worth personal lines space.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in business development or agency management in P&C insurance, with strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or agency management in the P&C insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of personal lines insurance products and distribution channels.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with independent agents and brokers.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently for field-based role in the Northeast.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory business plan to drive top line growth, profitability, retention with existing partners and new agency appointments.
• Travel extensively throughout the Northeast to meet with prospective and current agents, delivering training and relationship management.
• Identify high-potential agencies aligned with Vault’s high-net-worth market and onboard them through a consultative sales approach.
• Collaborate with underwriting, marketing, and service teams to ensure seamless agent and client experience.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and agency performance to inform strategic decisions.
• Represent Vault at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
