Job summary

SCAN offers a Remote, part-time Junior Peer Advocate role designed for individuals who want to support members through health education and peer guidance. You will connect with members, share experiences, and help navigate care options from home.

Required are a high school diploma, SCAN membership, and solid computer skills including MS Office. Bilingual abilities (Spanish, Korean, or Chinese) are a plus for better member outreach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current SCAN membership is required.
• Proficient with computers and multiple systems (time sheets and call center software).
• Strong communication, especially written and verbal; bilingual ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to SCAN members based on health interventions or quality initiatives.
• Build rapport and use personal SCAN membership experience to support health education.
• Coach members to create strategies that minimize risks for common health conditions.
• Encourage members to seek care and overcome obstacles to access services.
