Job summary

Protection Strategies Inc. is seeking a part-time Payroll Accounting Specialist to support corporate payroll remotely from Knoxville, TN. The role focuses on Costpoint labor, timesheets, H&W, and SCA compliance, with duties spanning ADP integration and general ledger posting.

The successful candidate will have costpoint experience, multi-state payroll knowledge, and strong Excel skills, working independently to meet payroll deadlines on a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Strong, hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint for labor, timesheets, payroll-related setup, and reporting.
• Direct experience supporting SCA employees (H&W, prevailing wage / WD concepts, SCA leave or fringe handling).
• Working knowledge of multi-state payroll.
• Basic understanding of full-cycle accounting with emphasis on Payroll and Accounts Payable.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft 365 skills; able to create and maintain process documentation.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time schedule and meet payroll deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day payroll processing and cost point data maintenance.
• Costpoint labor/timesheets and leave/accounting entries; ADP data exports/imports.
• Assist with multi-state payroll and wage compliance under supervision.
• Support General Ledger posting and AP as needed.
• Prepare payroll reports and ad hoc analyses; document procedures.
