Job summary

Wellthy is seeking a Part Time Payment Specialist to process backup care payments across reimbursement claims and direct payments to vendors. You will verify documentation, apply correct rates and policies, and communicate updates to members and providers from a remote US setup.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will maintain records, learn diverse client contracts, and ensure timely processing within SLA while collaborating with the Finance team and leveraging our online payments

Qualifications

• No degree required; prior accounts payable experience preferred.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn and apply multiple client contract terms and payment policies.
• Clear written and verbal communication for payments status updates.

Responsibilities

• Review and process backup care payment requests in accordance with client contracts.
• Verify receipts, invoices and banking details before processing.
• Calculate reimbursement and direct-pay amounts using policy rules.
• Communicate payment status to members and providers clearly and promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of all reimbursement and direct-pay transactions.
• Identify discrepancies and escalate to Payments Manager as needed.
• Meet SLA turnaround times for reimbursements and direct-pay processing.
• Support accounts payable processes with the Finance team.
• Stay updated on client-specific contract terms and payment policy updates.
