Wellthy is seeking a Part Time Backup Care Specialist to support members with temporary care solutions for child, adult dependent, or pet needs, via a remote, nationwide team. Role involves building a Backup Care Circle and coordinating with providers to source care quickly.

The position emphasizes proactive sourcing, vendor engagement, and care network expansion, with a focus on compassionate service and efficient problem solving within urgent timelines.

Qualifications

• Open to learning and curious about how AI can support workflow and families.
• 5+ years of childcare and/or senior care experience, especially backup care.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Proof of providing effective support to families.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and urgency.
• Ability to manage shift schedules independently.
• Familiarity with local care provider landscape including licensed providers and private caregivers.
• Able to identify and engage reliable vendors to fulfill member requests.
• Comfort with sourcing backup care solutions innovatively.
• Compassionate, supportive approach and commitment to improving member experience.
• Willingness to collaborate with Care Operations to implement best practices.

Responsibilities

• Engage with members to understand backup care requirements.
• Identify and engage reliable vendors to fulfill requests.
• Expand Care Network by connecting with local providers.
• Manage end-to-end delivery of immediate and sustainable care solutions.
• Work with urgency to identify at least one viable backup solution within 4–6 hours.
• Collaborate with Care Operations to refine processes and solve issues in real-time.
• Demonstrate independence in managing shift schedules and workload.
• Support expansion of Wellthy Care Network resources during low-volume periods.
