Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP seeks a Paralegal Manager to administer the firmwide Paralegal Program, driving efficiency and professional development for large teams handling multi‑jurisdictional mass tort and complex product liability matters.

The role reports to the Director – Paralegals & Practice Professionals and supports the Complex Tort Strategic Business Unit, requiring expertise directing sizeable paralegal teams and collaborating across leadership to meet strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, business administration, or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience in legal or Complex Torts.
• Minimum 3 years of Paralegal experience in corporate, regulatory, or Complex Tort litigation matters.
• Demonstrate strong judgment, organizational, and time-management skills.
• High level of professional integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, prioritization and communication skills.
• Experience with performance management and policy enforcement.
• Exhibit high emotional intelligence, discretion, and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead paralegal teams to ensure delivery of excellent services to stakeholders.
• Oversee paralegal work allocation and collaborating with recruiting to hire paralegals.
• Coordinate regular firmwide paralegal meetings and onboarding of new hires.
• Develop training programs with Practice Specialty Center Leaders and Professional Development teams.
• Partner with Performance and Compensation on annual evaluations and compensation recommendations.
• Monitor productivity, utilization and time entry compliance.
• Identify inefficiencies and drive improvements for operational efficiency.
