Pirate Ship, a remote-first tech shipping company, is seeking a Paralegal to support the General Counsel with contracts, IP, compliance, and governance.

You will draft and review agreements, manage IP portfolios, and help keep records while coordinating with outside counsel. This role offers travel and a flexible, crew-friendly culture.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of paralegal experience, preferably in a technology company or law firm, with exposure to intellectual property, contracts, and corporate law.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in legal document drafting and review.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and legal research tools and project management tools.
• Paralegal will be required to travel internationally and domestically on quarterly business meetings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and revise contracts and legal documents.
• Maintain an organized document management system for deadlines.
• Conduct extensive legal research on regulatory, IP, and commercial law.
• Assist with IP portfolio management, registrations, renewals, enforcement.
• Support governance and compliance, including policy development.
