Job summary

Pirate Ship is a remote-first company seeking a Paralegal to support our General Counsel in a fast-paced tech environment. You will handle contract drafting and review, IP management, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance, all while collaborating across teams and outside counsel.

You will work from home with daily communication via chat, voice, and video. Some travel for quarterly meetings is expected as part of this role, enabling close collaboration with the crew and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years as a paralegal, preferably in tech or a law firm.
• Exposure to intellectual property, contracts and corporate law.
• Proficiency with standard legal drafting and review processes.
• Experience supporting a General Counsel or senior legal team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Counsel in managing all legal matters for the company.
• Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Oversee intellectual property management, including filings and renewals.
• Support compliance programs and corporate governance activities.
• Coordinate with external counsel and internal stakeholders on legal matters.
