Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks a remote Health Information coder to assign codes for various patient types, abstract essential information, and enter data into the hospital information system. The role requires maintaining coding expertise and ensuring daily DNFB targets are met.

Ideal candidates will have education in health information, one year of coding experience, and pursuing AHIMA or AAPC certifications such as RHIA/RHIT/CCS or CPC/COC/CIC.

Qualifications

• Education in health information management or related field; RHIA/RHIT/CCS or CPC/COC/CIC certifications pursued.
• Minimum one year of professional coding experience.
• Actively seek AHIMA or AAPC certification as above.

Responsibilities

• Assigns appropriate codes to a limited amount of patient types.
• Abstracts critical information and enters data into the hospital information system.
