Job summary

Datavant is seeking experienced outpatient coders for a fully remote PRN role. The position focuses on accurate ED, OP SDS/OBS, and ambulatory surgical coding with CCS certification and EPIC/3M proficiency.

You will review records, assign codes, and ensure compliance across facilities, maintaining high accuracy and timely delivery while working in a flexible schedule from your own workspace.

Qualifications

• CCS certification or RHIA/RHIT is required.
• Experience with EPIC and 3M Solventum preferred.
• Experience in ED, OP SDS/OBS, and outpatient coding required.
• Strong communication and remote-work proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign and sequence codes based on documentation.
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy and 95% APC accuracy.
• Track continuing education credits for credential maintenance.
• Communicate documentation improvement opportunities to appropriate personnel.
