Qualifications

• 5+ years of outpatient facility coding experience and/or auditing.
• CCS or RHIA/RHIT required.
• Maintains 95% accuracy rate.

Responsibilities

• Performs Outpatient Facility coding audits of medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers for accurate coding.
• Provides rationale explaining changes with references and documentation locations.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes and relevant AHIMA guidelines.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases to meet departmental workflow and resolution deadlines.
• Educates coders through the auditing process and maintains professional conduct.
