The role is full-time with remote work options, requiring collaboration with the Providence Clinical Network and proficiency in Epic EMR. Certification and outpatient coding experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Certification required on hire (AAPC/AHIMA)
• Minimum 3 years outpatient coding experience
• Experience coaching physicians and working with physicians
• Strong communication and time-management skills

Responsibilities

• Perform coding audits and reviews of outpatient services for compliance and optimization.
• Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to physicians on code entry and documentation.
• Apply ICD-9, ICD-10 and HCC coding in alignment with reimbursement requirements.
• Identify and escalate issues impacting documentation and coding outcomes.
