Job summary

Providence Health & Services seeks a Coder II to conduct coding audits and support outpatient providers in accurate documentation and coding. The role involves coaching clinicians on ICD-9/ICD-10 and HCC coding, using Epic EMR, and ensuring compliance with reimbursement rules.

You will collaborate with the outpatient team to identify issues, deliver actionable feedback, and help optimize the coding workflow in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• National Certification from AAPC or AHIMA upon hire.
• 3 years recent outpatient medical coding experience.
• Experience coaching physicians and working with providers.
• EMR experience, preferably Epic, and strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Perform coding audits and reviews of outpatient services to optimize reimbursement.
• Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and support to clinicians on code entry and documentation.
• Ensure alignment with ICD-9/ICD-10 and HCC coding requirements and compliance.
