Qualifications

• 2–3 years minimum experience performing facility outpatient audits.
• Experience in ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCC, and procedural/surgical coding.
• Ability to participate in client-facing discussions regarding audit findings.

Responsibilities

• Perform coding quality audits and reviews on outpatient records.
• Provide feedback and education to coding staff.
• Extract clinical information and assign appropriate medical codes.
• Assist in developing educational training content.
• Present educational seminars to clients and staff.

Skills

AHIMA or AAPC certification

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
