Job summary

LifeBridge Health in Owings Mills, MD, is seeking an experienced Outpatient Medical Coder for a fully remote role. The coder will review outpatient records, assign ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT codes, and abstract data to support reimbursement and compliance.

Candidates must have an associate degree, 1–3 years of outpatient coding, and CCS or RHIA certification. Remote work requires residing in DC, MD, PA, VA, or WV. Sign-on bonus of $10,000 and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years outpatient medical coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT.
• Attention to detail and independent work in remote settings.

Responsibilities

• Review outpatient records to identify diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT codes per guidelines.
• Code and abstract ER, infusion and other outpatient encounters.
• Assist with ED coding and leveling when needed.
• Assist with coding and charging infusion cases.
• Abstract required clinical/demographic information into systems.
• Ensure coding accuracy, completeness and regulatory compliance.
