Job summary

Datavant is seeking experienced Outpatient Coders to join their remote team. The role requires a high attention to detail and expert knowledge in medical terminology.

Ideal candidates must have 3+ years of outpatient coding experience and CCS certification, with proficiency in Epic and Clintegrity preferred. The position offers flexibility and a collaborative work environment focused on enhancing healthcare.

Eligible candidates will receive competitive compensation of $20–$35 per hour, benefits include health coverage, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of outpatient coding experience.
• AHIMA certified credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS) or AAPC certified credentials (CPC, CPC-H, COC, CIC or CRC) are essential.
• Proficiency in coding for Same Day Surgery and Observation functionalities.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Maintain a 95% coding accuracy rate.
• Communicate improvement opportunities and coding issues.
