Job summary

Peraton Labs in the United States seeks a Principal OT Cybersecurity / IC Security Architect — a senior systems architect bridging OT/ICS and enterprise IT security to support a federal customer's modernization program.

You will lead requirements analysis, market surveys, RFI authorship, vendor response evaluation, lab validation, and defensible recommendations to guide procurement decisions, while collaborating with engineering and operations teams.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust and PIV for unescorted access.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field with 12+ years of experience (16 years if no degree).
• Experience across OT/ICS and enterprise IT security environments.
• Direct experience in electric-utility or power-grid domain.
• Hands-on experience applying NERC CIP standards in a utility environment.
• Proven record leading full RFI and vendor-evaluation lifecycle.
• Strong technical writing and executive briefing skills.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end requirements analysis and derive System Requirements Specifications with traceability to CIP, FISMA, and Zero Trust.
• Conduct market research to identify candidate products across identity, network monitoring, and asset management.
• Draft RFIs, manage vendor response windows, and lead technical engagement with bidders.
• Assess vendor responses and product capabilities; produce comparison reports and recommendations.
• Design lab test environments, write test plans, and oversee demonstrations and evaluations.
• Prepare Alternative Solutions Analyses and brief steering committees.
• Facilitate multi-stakeholder workshops across OT and IT domains to build consensus on requirements and product selection.
