Job summary

Peraton Labs is seeking a Senior OT Cybersecurity / ICs Security Architect for a part-time engagement (~20 hours/week) to bridge operational technology (OT), industrial control systems (ICS), and enterprise IT cybersecurity in support of a federal customer's modernization program for critical infrastructure.

This role offers flexible scheduling around milestones and requires collaboration with engineering, operations, cybersecurity, and policy stakeholders across lab and customer facilities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in OT/ICS and IT security ecosystems.
• Familiarity with NERC CIP standards and bulk-electric-system environments.
• Strong technical writing and stakeholder communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and validate requirements and help produce System Requirements Specifications (SRS).
• Support market research to identify candidate products across identity, monitoring, and vulnerability management.
• Draft RFIs, review vendor responses, and engage with bidders under federal guardrails.
• Assess vendor responses and contribute to comparison reports and recommendations.
• Co-author Alternative Solutions Analysis documents and assist in executive briefings.
• Bring experience from federal hydropower or multi-regional transmission ops to align OT and IT security requirements.
