Job summary

Thrivent is seeking a senior Organization Development Consultant to partner with leaders and HR partners, diagnosing organizational needs and designing practical solutions across design, operating model, leadership effectiveness, change, and workforce planning. The role may lead engagements directly, coordinate across teams, or equip leaders with tools and guidance to sustain results.

Qualifications

• Senior-level contributor partnering with leaders, HR partners, and enterprise stakeholders to diagnose organizational needs and design practical solutions.
• Engagements span organization design, operating model, leadership effectiveness, change and workforce planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex organization effectiveness engagements from intake through sustainment with enterprise perspective.
• Conduct intake and contracting to clarify business need, outcomes, scope, stakeholders, timing, risks, dependencies, constraints, and success measures.
• Apply assessment to distinguish symptoms from root causes and identify appropriate interventions.
• Lead whole-system initiatives and surface gaps, overlaps, and downstream implications to establish shared direction and coordinated action.
• Translate strategy into practical organizational capabilities and ways of working to improve alignment and execution.
• Design interventions to strengthen leadership alignment, team clarity, collaboration, and accountability.
• Integrate change practices to strengthen stakeholder engagement, readiness, adoption, and sustainment.
• Support workforce planning by linking business strategy to capability and talent implications.
• Serve as trusted consultant, providing strategic insight, facilitation, and practical recommendations.
• Manage multiple engagements with disciplined scope, milestones, risks, and outcomes.
• Establish success measures and evaluate impact, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
