Job summary

MOFGA Certification Services, LLC (MCS) seeks an Organic Certification Specialist focused on livestock and dairy. The role offers remote work within the MOFGA service territory, with required travel to farms and for inspections.

You will review organic system plans, conduct inspections, and support producers under USDA standards. The position is salaried, with a starting salary of $50,000–$55,000 annually, and benefits including insurance, PTO, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Education or experience in organic certification or regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of USDA-NOP standards for crop, livestock/dairy, and processing.
• Experience with inspections and auditing in organic systems.
• Proven written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical reviews of organic system plans, mainly livestock/dairy scope.
• Review inspection reports and communicate results to producers.
• Explain organic standards and the certification process to applicants.
• Pursue adverse actions with colleagues and supervisors as needed.
• Maintain auditable client files and track activity.
• Conduct annual, investigative, and unannounced inspections or residue sampling.
