Job summary

MOFGA Certification Services, LLC (MCS) is seeking a full-time Organic Certification Specialist focused on livestock and dairy to support producers across Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. The role includes high-level review, auditing verification, and field inspections to uphold USDA NOP standards.

You will collaborate with certification staff and inspectors, contribute to policy development, and participate in field activities with travel within the MCS service territory.

Qualifications

• Education or experience in organic certification or regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of USDA-NOP standards for crop, livestock/dairy, and processing.
• Experience with organic or sustainable crop and livestock production.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical reviews of organic system plans, primarily within livestock and dairy scope.
• Communicate results of reviews to producers per policy.
• Review inspection reports for the same clients.
• Assist applicants by explaining the organic standards and certification process.
