MajorKey Technologies is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to support a federal government customer in a fully remote capacity across the United States. You will perform hands-on Oracle database administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support for enterprise environments both on-premises and cloud-hosted.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in IT/CS.
• 3+ years of relational database management experience.
• 3+ years of experience supporting database platforms in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience administering Oracle databases.
• Experience with backup/recovery, patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Experience providing Tier II/III technical support in production IT.
• Knowledge of relational database design, normalization, and DB admin principles.
• Ability to create disaster recovery procedures and documentation.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Strong communication and scheduling aligned with Mountain Time.

Responsabilités

• Administer, maintain, configure, and support Oracle and other RDBMS.
• Perform backup/recovery, patching, maintenance, and tuning.
• Monitor performance, availability, and operational issues.
• Provide Tier II/III support for database incidents.
• Support server operations, upgrades, and resource optimization.
• Assist with database design and 3NF normalization.
• Develop recovery plans and procedures.
• Support failover and DR activities.
• Prepare technical and project documentation for DB tasks.
• Execute tasks independently with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with DBAs, sysadmins, network engineers, and app support.
