Job summary

North Point Technology is seeking a mid-level Oracle DBA to support day-to-day Oracle operations at the Government Publishing Office alongside a senior Oracle DBA.

Location: Remote (U.S.). This full-time contingent role is tied to contract award with an anticipated start date of November 16, 2026 and 8 hours per day within 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM ET, with periodic after-hours work for patching and reboots.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of database administration experience, primarily Oracle.
• Experience with RMAN, PL/SQL, and Oracle Grid.
• Exposure to SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, and MS Access.
• Experience creating and managing standalone Oracle databases.
• Solid scripting and automation skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Oracle databases, including RMAN backups and restores
• Execute patching, installs, and routine server maintenance
• Implement and test failovers and recovery procedures
• Triage and troubleshoot Oracle and MS Access issues
• Help users build and configure databases
• Work ServiceNow tickets and RFCs within SLAs
• Monitor systems with Idera and SolarWinds and tune alerts
• Contribute to weekly activity reports
