Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a full-time Ophthalmology Medical Coder to provide coding and abstracting services for physician and facility records in a remote environment. The role requires expertise in ICD-10-CM, CPS, and CPT coding systems within Profee and Facility settings.

You will review records, assign accurate codes, ensure DRG alignment, and maintain high productivity while utilizing coding applications. Collaboration through team meetings and ongoing education is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Ophthalmology coding experience in Profee and Facility.
• Proficiency in Clinic E&M and CPT coding with ICD-10-CM and CPS principles.
• Experience with Epic and 3M/360 coding systems.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records to assign diagnostic and procedural codes accurately and ensure appropriate DRG assignment
• Maintain coding accuracy and productivity while entering coded charts in real-time
• Participate in team meetings, training, and coding education initiatives to stay updated on industry standards and guidelines
