Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks a Florida-licensed Physician Coder for a full-time remote role. You will edit and review medical documentation to assign codes and modifiers, and maintain accurate electronic medical records.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of physician-based coding experience, CPC certification, and strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and modifiers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in physician-based coding for outpatient and inpatient surgical procedures.
• CPC or equivalent coding certification.
• Substantial knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Familiarity with Microsoft software and electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Edit and review captured charges and medical documentation to assign appropriate codes and modifiers.
• Communicate documentation discrepancies with coding support staff and assist with escalated coding questions.
• Create patient charts and ensure accurate entry of demographics, insurance, and hospital charges into electronic medical records.
