Job summary

Sun Ophthalmics is seeking an Account Manager for Rockville, MD, focusing on ophthalmics. You will develop relationships with HCPs, deliver educational, compliant messages, and execute business plans in a dynamic market.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in pharma sales or specialty pharma, with travel to markets across the region. You will report to the Regional Sales Manager and drive performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a scientific field.
• Two or more years of pharmaceutical sales experience or equivalent are preferred.
• Two or more years of specialty pharmaceutical experience or equivalent, preferably in the assigned therapeutic area.
• Experience selling within healthcare institutions preferred.
• Ability to travel domestically, which may include overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with target HCPs.
• Deliver MLR approved, education-focused messages, and the assigned therapeutic area disease-state information to target HCPs.
• Business planning and execution.
• Enhance HCP awareness of Sun Ophthalmics products, clinical data, safety, and efficacy.
• Equip HCPs with appropriate tools to facilitate a robust conversation, enabling them to teach their patients about the assigned therapeutic area.
• Build HCP knowledge and confidence in identifying treatment gaps in all domains.
• Increase awareness of the assigned therapeutic area and help HCP identify treatment gaps in diagnosed patients.
• Metrics: Achieve call activity and adherence targets; as well as financial goals for the assigned territory.
