Sun Ophthalmics, part of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Inc., is seeking an Account Manager for the Silver Spring, MD market focused on ophthalmics. The role emphasizes building strong relationships with health care professionals and delivering compliant, education-focused messages about therapeutic area data and Sun Ophthalmics products.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of pharma sales experience, familiarity with ophthalmology, and the ability to travel domestically as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree; preferably in a scientific field.
• Two or more years of pharmaceutical sales experience or equivalent.
• Two or more years of specialty pharmaceutical experience or equivalent, preferably in ophthalmology.
• Knowledge of healthcare institutions and managed care; experience selling within healthcare institutions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with target HCPs.
• Deliver MLR approved, education-focused messages and disease-state information to target HCPs.
• Execute business planning and sales strategy for the assigned territory.
• Increase awareness of Sun Ophthalmics products, clinical data, safety and efficacy.
• Equip HCPs with tools to facilitate conversations with patients.
