Job summary

The State Group Automation is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our remote-United States operations. With over 10 years in construction, project management, and leadership, you will guide safety, efficiency, and client satisfaction across multiple projects.

You will partner with the Director of Operations to improve financial results, develop strategic programs, and mentor field teams while traveling 50–75% to support customers and ensure operational continuity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction, project management, or leadership experience, including 3 years in a senior role.
• Bachelor's degree or trade certification preferred.
• Proven track record estimating and managing projects valued at $10 million+.
• Experience supervising, mentoring, and developing employees.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of estimating, project management, and MS Office.
• Strong understanding of job costing and financial processes.
• Experience leading a business unit or organization preferred.
• Commitment to the team, customers, and environments served.

Responsibilities

• Foster safety-first culture by leading by example and driving employee engagement.
• Provide guidance to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
• Partner with the Director of Operations to improve financial results and growth.
• Present operational and financial metrics to leadership for continuous improvement.
• Drive inside and outside sales growth and strengthen client relationships.
• Lead and develop direct reports to maintain a high-performance culture.
• Develop and implement strategic operational programs.
• Provide operational and financial expertise across proposals, bidding, contracting, scheduling, and job costing.
• Conduct operational audits to ensure compliance and drive improvements.
• Travel 50–75% to support customers and lead field teams.
• Provide leadership in managing client relationships and change initiatives.
