Job summary

Earth Species Project is seeking an Operations Associate for a fully remote, US-based role. The position supports onboarding, payroll, benefits, and day-to-day employee HR needs to keep a globally distributed team running smoothly.

You will collaborate with the HR and Operations Specialist and Head of Operations, ensuring confidential handling of information and scalable processes as ESP grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in HR, Business, or related field.
• 1+ years in operations, HR, administration, or related field.
• Strong organizational skills with high accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across time zones.
• Comfort communicating across cultures and with diverse teams.
• Willingness to learn new systems and tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding for new hires and exits.
• Process payroll inputs and support benefits enrollment.
• Serve as first point of contact for routine employee questions.
• Maintain accurate HR records and data quality across systems.
• Support leave administration and compliance with policies.
• Maintain HR documents, templates, and playbooks.
• Coordinate with EOR partners and vendors on routine tasks.
• Support employee recognition and team events.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and documentation.
