Job summary

OpenEd is seeking a People Operations Generalist to partner with the People Team in a fast-paced remote environment. You will own core HR operations, compliance, and scalable processes across the employee lifecycle.

Responsibilities include onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, HR data management, and partner coordination with hiring managers. The role requires 3+ years HR experience, strong communication, and familiarity with HRIS/ATS.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive HR experience in startup or multi-state settings.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong judgment, problem-solving, and discretion in sensitive matters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.
• Familiarity with HRIS, ATS platforms, and basic HR processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HR operations across the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance and scalable processes.
• Own onboarding/offboarding, documentation, system access, and communications.
• Support talent acquisition activities, including job postings and candidate coordination.
• Administer benefits enrollments and year-end open enrollment coordination.
• Maintain employee records, HR metrics, and reporting; drive process improvements.
• Partner with leaders on policies, employee relations, and program enhancements.
