Oregon State University is seeking a part-time Open Access Policy Deposit Assistant for OSULP. This remote role supports identifying recent OSU faculty articles, evaluating access, and depositing manuscripts to ScholarsArchive@OSU. Work is 12 hours weekly with flexible scheduling to align with the supervisor's hours.

The position emphasizes independence, attention to detail, and strong communication while handling document prep and deposits using tools like Excel and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Qualifications

• Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study.
• Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google tools (Excel/Sheets, Word/Docs, Outlook/Gmail).
• Ability to work independently and manage time in a remote setting.
• Strong attention to detail and clear written communication.

Responsabilités

• Compile and track articles by OSU faculty authors using online databases and MS Excel (Technology).
• Evaluate article records on publisher websites to determine whether each article meets deposit criteria (Critical Thinking).
• Communicate with OSU faculty using email templates to coordinate article deposits (Communication, Professionalism).
• Prepare digital files for deposit to ScholarsArchive@OSU using Adobe Acrobat Pro (Technology).
• Create new item records in ScholarsArchive@OSU, uploading files using web-based repository software and entering accurate descriptive information following provided guidance (Critical Thinking, Technology).
