Job summary

OSU Libraries is seeking a part‑time Open Access Policy Deposit Assistant for OSULP. This remote student position involves identifying OSU faculty articles, evaluating deposit eligibility, requesting manuscripts, and depositing files to ScholarsArchive@OSU.

Training is provided; schedule is 12 hours/week with weekday overlap for check‑ins. You will gain hands‑on experience with scholarly publishing, library databases, and repository workflows while developing critical thinking, communication,

Qualifications

• Must be academically enrolled in a school and meet minimum enrollment standards.
• Regularly work remotely with reliable internet access.
• Strong written communication and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Compile and track articles by OSU faculty authors using online databases and MS Excel.
• Evaluate article records on publisher sites to meet deposit criteria.
• Communicate with OSU faculty using email templates to coordinate deposits.
• Prepare digital files for deposit to ScholarsArchive@OSU using Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Create new item records in ScholarsArchive@OSU abiding by guidance.
