Job summary

Penguin Random House is seeking a self-motivated Manager, Online and Digital Business Development to onboard new sales accounts in established and emerging markets. You will lead cross‑functional initiatives and partner with senior leadership across sales, legal, operations, and international teams.

This role embraces remote work, with a strong emphasis on building pipelines, negotiating terms, and delivering data‑driven insights to drive growth and efficiency within an agile team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in business development, sales strategy, or related field.
• Proven ability to interact and communicate with employees across all levels.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, plan, and execute multiple projects.
• Ability to digest complex information and distill into clear insights.
• Strong collaboration skills and a true team player.
• Creative thinker focused on solving business challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
• Interest in emerging digital platforms, including AI and social commerce.

Responsibilities

• Manage the on-boarding of new accounts from end to end, including market opportunities and term negotiation.
• Research prospective accounts to identify new leads and markets.
• Develop the new account pipeline with CRM improvements and sales analytics.
• Lead analytics projects to identify opportunities and monitor growth.
• Build relationships with new accounts while maintaining existing ones.
• Support teammates on special projects with evolving priorities.
