Job summary

Merck is seeking an Oncology Sales Specialist to lead the growth of our oncology portfolio within a defined U.S. territory. You will engage with clinicians, educate stakeholders on indications, and partner with the Oncology team to achieve sales goals.

The allowed territory includes Lexington, KY, and nearby Ashland and Huntington, with about 25% travel. A Bachelor’s degree with extensive sales experience, or equivalent healthcare experience, is required; must reside within the territory and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of sales experience OR a minimum of high school diploma with at least 10 years of equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of oncology field-based experience, selling an oncology therapeutic to oncology customers.
• Travel 25% and valid driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Attain or exceed assigned sales goals for the geography.
• Engage with customers to understand needs and communicate product value.
• Represent the company’s Oncology portfolio to key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Oncology Customer Team Leader and other field teammates.
