Job summary

Novartis is seeking a Director, Oncology Priority Accounts to lead major national and regional accounts, advancing market access strategy for the portfolio. This field-based remote role requires strong cross-functional leadership, strategic planning, and the ability to drive outcomes across diverse teams and executives.

Travel up to 60-80% within the territory may be needed; relocation and visa sponsorship are not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required from 4-year college or university.
• 10+ years' experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured industries with large, geographically dispersed teams; include at least 2 different cross-functional roles / experiences.
• 2+ years in project management and translation of strategy into execution.
• 2+ years leading complex projects requiring cross-functional and national alignment.
• Track record of exceptional performance and execution that drives results, with strong influencing skills and diplomacy in stressful situations.
• Candidate must reside within territory, or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 100 miles from the territory border; travel 60-80% over a broad geography; must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Understand the needs of the customer at all levels from departments to C-suite, articulating business insights and priorities to deliver outcomes.
• Craft strategic approaches to align with the account's interests and needs, fostering key customer relationships.
• Lead strategy and execution pre-launch and during launch, coordinating HQ, account, and regional leadership teams.
• Interact with account executives at C-suite and D-suite levels as the main oncology contact for Novartis accounts.
• Foster teamwork across departments to involve multiple functions and stakeholders to proactively solve problems.
• Own account performance with a results-driven mindset to achieve meaningful outcomes.
• Facilitate efficient communication between Novartis and key accounts and internal teams; relay strategic changes to inspire teams.
• Manage multiple high-priority accounts, with at least one notably complex and influential within Oncology.
